Description
Bacteriostatic water is water for laboratory use containing benzyl alcohol as a preservative (0.9% per manufacturer specification), which inhibits bacterial growth after a vial has been opened. In the laboratory it is the standard diluent for reconstituting lyophilised peptides when a solution will be drawn from the same vial more than once.
Choose the 3 ml vials for smaller working volumes, or the 10 ml vials when preparing larger batches of solution. Benzyl alcohol is not compatible with every assay, so check the requirements of your protocol before use. Each kit contains ten sealed vials, so a fresh vial can be opened for each new batch of reconstituted material.
Store at room temperature, sealed and away from direct light.
Intended solely for laboratory research by qualified professionals. Not for human or veterinary use, and not for diagnostic purposes.
Supplied as a 10-vial kit. Dispatched in 1–2 business days.
