Description
CJC-1295 without DAC, also known in the literature as Modified GRF (1-29), is a 29-amino-acid analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH). Compared with native GRF (1-29), it carries four amino-acid substitutions intended to improve resistance to enzymatic cleavage, particularly by dipeptidyl peptidase-4.
Because it lacks the Drug Affinity Complex, this version retains a comparatively short half-life, which makes it useful for studying pulsatile activation of the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs. Animal and in-vitro research has used it to examine downstream cAMP signalling, growth hormone secretion patterns and the interaction between GHRH-receptor agonists and ghrelin-receptor agonists.
