Description

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide in its oxidised form, NAD+, is a coenzyme present in every living cell. It shuttles electrons in glycolysis, the citric acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation, and is consumed as a substrate by sirtuin deacylases, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases and the NAD+ glycohydrolase CD38.

Because of these roles, NAD+ sits at the centre of research into cellular energy metabolism, DNA-repair signalling and mitochondrial function. Rodent studies have documented declining tissue NAD+ levels with age and have explored how NAD+ availability influences sirtuin activity and mitochondrial biogenesis. Researchers also use it as a reference standard when studying precursors such as nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide.

NAD+ is hygroscopic; keep vials tightly sealed, dry and cold.

Product FAQ

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a central redox coenzyme and substrate for sirtuins and PARPs, used in cellular energy-metabolism research.

What does a NAD+ kit contain and what does it cost?

NAD+ is sold as a kit of 10 vials of lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder, in 100 mg, 500 mg, 1000 mg per vial. Prices run from S$349 to S$639 per 10-vial kit, with free shipping.

What are the CAS number and molecular formula of NAD+?

NAD+ has CAS number 53-84-9, molecular formula C21H27N7O14P2, molecular weight 663.4 g/mol.

How should NAD+ be stored?

Store the sealed vials at 2–8 °C, protected from direct sunlight and moisture; for long-term storage, −20 °C is standard practice. Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated and use within the period appropriate to the compound.

What purity is NAD+?

Purity is >99% (manufacturer's HPLC specification). Batch documentation is available on request — message @north_vial before you order.

Is NAD+ for human or animal use?

No. NAD+ is supplied strictly as a laboratory reference material for in-vitro research use only — not for human or animal consumption, and not approved for therapeutic use.

How fast does NAD+ ship and how do I pay?

Shipping is free. Orders are dispatched in 1–2 business days and usually delivered in 6–9 business days. Payment is by cryptocurrency: Bitcoin (BTC), or USDT/USDC/ETH on the Ethereum (ERC-20) network.
