Description
TB-500 is the research name used for a synthetic peptide related to thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino-acid protein that is one of the main G-actin-sequestering molecules in mammalian cells. The short LKKTETQ motif of Tβ4 is the actin-binding region most often linked to its effects on cytoskeletal organisation.
Thymosin beta-4 and its fragments have been studied for their role in cell migration, angiogenesis and extracellular-matrix remodelling. Preclinical investigations include dermal and corneal repair models, cardiac tissue models in rodents and in-vitro work on endothelial cell tube formation. Researchers frequently use TB-500 alongside other actin-regulating tools when dissecting the mechanics of cell motility.
Store the lyophilised peptide sealed and refrigerated or frozen, protected from moisture and light.
Sold strictly as a research chemical for in-vitro and preclinical laboratory work. Not for human consumption or veterinary use.
Supplied as a 10-vial kit of lyophilised powder. Dispatched in 1–2 business days.
